• Device & Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, device type, and operating system — collected automatically via standard web analytics.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
CivicRoot uses collected information to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform • Process organizational license applications and payments • Send service-related communications (onboarding, updates, billing) • Analyze usage patterns to improve civic education features • Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for political targeting, profiling, or advertising.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party payment processing via Stripe. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
CivicRoot integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features:
• Stripe — for payment processing (governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy) • Google Civic API — for ballot and election data • Congress.gov — for legislative information • FEC.gov — for campaign finance data
These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them. CivicRoot is not responsible for third-party data practices.
CivicRoot may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state and analyze usage. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Platform may not function correctly as a result.
CivicRoot is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at legal@civicroot.tech.
All content, features, and functionality of CivicRoot™ — including but not limited to the software, AI systems, training curriculum, facilitation guides, user interface design, methodology, branding, and written content — are owned exclusively by CivicRoot and are protected by United States and international intellectual property laws.
Specifically:
• The CivicRoot™ name and logo are proprietary trademarks. Use of the mark without written consent is prohibited.
• The 8-module civic training curriculum, facilitation methodology, and impact reporting framework are proprietary and may not be reproduced, adapted, or distributed without a written license.
• AI prompt design, research workflows, and community impact analysis methodology are trade secrets of CivicRoot.
• Any unauthorized use, replication, or imitation of CivicRoot's platform, concept, or methodology may result in civil liability and injunctive relief.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
• Access the personal data we hold about you • Request correction of inaccurate data • Request deletion of your personal data • Opt out of non-essential communications
